Physical Education and Sport

PE_SPORT_Goal.jpegThe Physical Education program at Kew Primary School is taught by our specialist teacher, Clare Connor. All students in the school have a weekly PE lesson and also participate in weekly Sport sessions with their classroom teacher.

The PE program is a sequential learning program based on the Fundamental Motor Skills, using these skills for game play and development, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Throughout the school year there are numerous events for students to participate in, including Interschool Sport, House Athletics, House Cross Country, Bike Education, Hoop Time, District level competition and beyond.

The focus of the entire program is participation. Every student is encouraged to get involved, develop their skills and give their best effort.

Swimming Lessons – All students participate in swimming lessons at the Kew Rec Swimming Pool. Please see class teacher for more information.
