Year 3 Visit to Scienceworks

For their Unit of Inquiry ‘Materials Influence Design Choices’, the Year 3 students engaged in a design challenge at Scienceworks. Students built roller coasters for marbles to promote STEM learning through hands-on activities. The program encouraged students to work in groups too meet a design challenge with limited resources. Students observed the physics of energy, force and inertia as they designed tested and modified their roller coasters.
